Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.

Stress is also a necessity for the body to function normally. Stress is a normal physiological response. Stress only becomes a problem when it becomes consistent and uncomfortable in our lives. That’s when we become distressed. (Taken from the Introduction of How To Overcome Stress Naturally)
Stress serves us well to motivate us. Stress does not serve us well when it causes us to procrastinate, be indecisive and feel overwhelmed. Stress is often a signal to change what we are doing or thinking. Everyone’s level of stress is different. What may be stressful for one, is not for another.
No matter what the situation is, prolonged stress is a signal to change and restore your body to balance.
There is one easy solution to decrease the amount of stress in your life, and this is to simply love yourself.
Take a moment to remember to love yourself each and every day. When you respect yourself, you will pay more attention to yourself and love and nurture yourself.
What do you do each day to nurture yourself?
What do you do to give your mind a rest? Meditate, contemplate, pray, daydream, be creative, be imaginative.
What do you do that makes you feel emotionally nurtured? be joyful, happy, peaceful, excited.
What do you do to nurture yourself physically? Have a massage, go to the gym, play sport, take a walk, exercise.
Chapter 12 in my book How To Overcome Stress Naturally shows you a practical daily plan, that includes activities to energise and nurture your mind, emotions and physical well being.
Here is a simple breathing exercise to energise and relax you.
Take 3 deep breaths in and completely relax on the out breath and let go of all the tension in your body.
Say to yourself on the in-breath: I am Love
Say to yourself on the out-breath: Yes
Again on the in-breath: I am Love
And on the out-breath: Yes
Once more on the in-breath: I am Love
Relax and let go on the out breath: Yes
