Overcome Stress Naturally

Free Public Talk at Frankston Library

When: Wednesday 20th July, 2011

Time: 7.30pm – 9.00pm

Where: Frankston Library Lounge

I will talk about how you can help yourself to find relief from stress, naturally. Positive thinking alone is not enough to turn your life around, I will share with you strategies, including step-by-step plans for changing how you think, how you feel and what you eat.

I wrote my book How To Overcome Stress Naturally in 4 months, interviewed 6 experts in natural health and 5 everyday people who overcame depression without the use of drugs. You can too!

1. Expand your awareness. Look up to the sky, see the clouds or the trees, hear the birds, feel the wind, feel the cold or warmth of the sun. Take a deep breath, exhale and let go of tightness and tension.

2. Know that you are never alone. We are all on this planet together and there is most often someone worse off than you today. Do you have a home, a family, friends, food to eat, shelter? Many people don’t. Can you see, hear and feel? Some people can’t. Can you talk? Can you listen?

3. Listen Really Listen. Sometimes sitting and listening to someone will relieve stress immensely. For both the listener and the talker. Sharing the load, sharing the story, sharing a solution.

4. Focus on what you do want, not what you don’t want. Energy follows awareness so are you focused on “doom & gloom” or “light & love”? The choice is yours.

5. What if a ‘mistake’ or ‘failure’ is really disguised as an Opportunity? Physical, mental or emotional crisis is really a signal from the body that something needs to change. Now you have an opportunity to change as the situation has reached a crisis. You Must Change. Don’t wait for the crisis, change what you think and what you do. Change your Attitude to one of Opportunity.

6. The point of power is in the Present. Let go of the past (its gone), let go of the future (its not here yet). Simple be present in the moment and choose a new direction.

7. Ask Who do I need to see/talk to, not How. Often we don’t know how, but there might be someone Who you can ask How. Hmm. It’s true and very powerful. Remember to ask Who not How. The How comes after the Who.

Wednesday 20th July, 7.30pm at Frankston library I will share gems of natural health information, simple health tips plus guide you in a simple meditation. My book will be available for sale, signed by the Author at a special price for the night.
