Book Launch in WA

I had a wonderful time in WA recently Launching “How To Overcome Stress Naturally” with Foreword by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Overcoming Stress was of great interest to the IGA customers with many books sold that IGA Hocking has stocked in the store.

When first recurperating from severe stress and health problems, it is important to be kind and gentle to yourself. The most important thing I say is to remember to breath deeply every breath you take.

It is free to Breathe and it is truly a gift we all have. A full deep belly breath allows vital oxygen to get to the base of our lungs and be distributed throughout our entire body.

The next most simple step to overcome stress naturally is to have a good night’s sleep.

As Shanti Gowan, President of Australasian Ayurvedic Practitioners Association says in Chapter 3:  “Sleep like most healthy and beautiful things on this earth, is free. The only thing we need to do is fix an appointment with our bed and keep it every day.”

His Holiness The Dalai Lama says:

“Sleep is the best Meditation”

SIMPLE DAILY CONTEMPLATION / MEDITATION

At the START of your day AND at the END of your day… take a few quite minutes for YOU. BE KIND TO YOURSELF.


  • Sit comfortably, spine straight, feet and legs uncrossed.meditationchakra6945189
  • Close your eyes, take a DEEP BREATH IN
  • As you exhale LET GO of the day, LET GO of all thoughts, LET GO of all emotions.
  • Take another DEEP BREATH IN, focus only on your breathing.
  • As you exhale LET GO even further, LET GO and RELAX, LET GO of everything.
  • Take another DEEP BREATH IN, focus only on the breath.
  • Exhale, focus only on the breath.
  • Open your eyes.

THAT IS 3 DEEP BREATHS that takes only a minute EVERY DAY.

Notice how you feel.

As I travel around Australia speaking to groups, associations, rotary groups, I eagerly share the health benefits of eating local season foods, supporting local growers, remember to breathe deeply and sleep soundly!
